images from the last three days

Driving home from a friends house late Thursday night i noticed this green shed all alone at the edge of a baseball field, so i stopped and spent a little time exploring.

holga lens

Last winter i decided to give my old holga new life, by first killing it… then modifying its lens to attach to my 5D.  All it took was a body cap, some pvc fittings and a little pipe cement.  The result..

(crappy cell phone picture)  It now has more focusing options then it originally had.

While i was working on the lens i was taking test shots the whole time, (to check focus and how long the lens barrel had to be…).  Here are some of the shots that i really liked.  I put them together as a triptych.  The bottom shot was the first step with just a pin hole in the body cap, the other two shots are at various stages throughout the build.

Now i can add a little bit of plastic randomness to any shot, whenever i like.

spring house

I have been waiting for over two months to photograph this house with the idea of doing something a bit abstract with it.  I originally planned to shoot it at night under a full moon, but missed the moon two months in a row for various reasons (weather/vacation..).  On mothersday I drove by it and the light was pretty much perfect, by the time I got back to the location with my camera it was even better.
